The Marvel Zombies story takes place in an alternate universe of MCU, where a mysterious virus of cosmic origin spreads that turns humans, superheroes, and even villains into ferocious zombie creatures that retain their supernatural abilities but without any mercy or human consciousness. After the collapse of civilization and the fall of most of the heroes, a diverse team of survivors gathers, including characters such as Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, and Kate Bishop, to confront the growing dangers in this plague-ridden world. The biggest challenge isn't just surviving zombie armies, but confronting friends and loved ones who have turned into deadly enemies, like Wanda Maximoff "Queen of the Dead" and other infected MCU icons. The series continues the events of the episode What If… Zombies?!, but presents a broader and darker plot, mixing moments of violent action, horror, and psychological conflict between characters trying to survive in a world where hope has almost ended.
